Live Your Name

To my kids: I know all your mothers gave you great names.  You kids should remember that your mothers were inspired in giving you those names and live your names to the fullest, and maybe even adopt other ones. If I were there when you were growing up I would have at least tried to give you kids a middle name. So if you want a middle name from your Dad, here's one and here you go.

You can choose one or all of these names. I'm sure at one time or another throughout your lives you kids will feel to live all them. They are all powerful names and many of them come from great acquaintances I have met or known in life.

I had to give you Western style names so you would match your Dad's cowboy-type name (ha, ha, ha). But I also just happen to like the ring of them. Anyways, if my kids simply lived the following eight names I think they would be well on their way to fulfilling their full potential and helping our family become a rock solid family in society.

The girls names I like are: Gracie, Annalise, Star and Taylor

The boys names I like are: Blake, Clay, Royce and Val

Despite the blow up with my Jolley family, I still decided to keep my own first given name of Dallas because it was actually given to me by my real father Gerald Hyatt. The Jolley name of course, has to go and I am now going by the Hyatt last name.

I am undecided as to which middle name I want for myself though. The middle name I grew up with was from my mothers husband, Bryan Jolley, ie. Santa Clause. He didn't love me and I see no reason to keep his name alive. Yeah, I was Dallas B. Jolley for the first half of my life and I hated that. Even the middle name my parents gave me was manipulative and hateful. (ha, ha, ha) It was funny though (ha, ha, ha).

If I chose a middle name for myself it would probably be one of the four names I would have chosen for my sons. So I will probably either be Dallas B. Hyatt, Dallas C. Hyatt, Dallas R. Hyatt, or Dallas V. Hyatt.

I'm sorry if some of you don't like your middle names. I tried hard to pick good ones, and I think it could have been much worse.  At least I didn't name you Leslie or Lester! (ha, ha, ha). No seriously, God told me my kids are going to be great, so they need great names. Many of you are going to far surpass me and go on to live highly effective, well balanced, dynamic and meaningful lives. I am proud to be your Dad and look forward to hearing about your lives and accomplishments in the future. Just want you to remember to live your names and always be true to yourself!
